After noticing a lack of proper educational facilities for a large number of special children living in the rural Bicholim region, the Shri Zantye brothers made a donation of land to start a fully-equipped educational facility for mentally challenged children. The Keshav Seva Sadhana (KSS) Special School was established in 2004 in order to provide educational opportunities for special needs children in the area. The students, ranging from ages 3 to 35, are taught a combination of functional academics, basic life skills, as well as sports, music, dance, art and craft.
Through the hard work and commitment from over 38 teachers and staff members, the school has made a significant impact on the field of special education, shaping the unique and enthusiastic minds of every child.
